We will however act against any person(s) attempting to ‘pass off’ our content as their own.

On occasion we may use content from third parties on our website. In all such cases we make every effort to ensure we have the copyright holder’s permission to use such content and provide attribution, so the copyright holder is credited for their content.

If you believe we have used any copyrighted material without the correct permissions, please do let us know. You can report possible copyright issues to hello@pixxmedia.co.uk

User Generated Content

Where we invite content submissions from third parties, for example, users submitting images for a photo competition, then the competition participants make a legal declaration upon submission that the content they are submitting is their own work and they control full and unreserved copyright in the submitted content; and agree to grant us a royalty free nonexclusive license to present their content on our website and accept the same ‘fair use’ policy for social sharing that applies to our own content.

The copyright holder can withdraw permission for their content to be displayed on our website at any time by contacting us on hello@pixxmedia.co.uk at which point we will act to remove the specified content within 30 days.

If a copyright infringement claim is made against any user submitted content, then that content will be removed from our website as soon as we are made aware of the claim. The claimant will be supplied the details of the submission, so they can pursue redress with the person(s) who unlawfully submitted the content.

In the event a copyright infringement claim is upheld against a user who has used the infringing content to win a prize from our website, then that user will have to return the prize or its equivalent monetary value if the prize has been consumed, used, sold on or is otherwise devalued by its use since being awarded. Such instances may also be considered fraudulent and risk possible criminal action against the user.

We take the protection of our copyright very seriously. If we discover that you have used our copyright materials in contravention of the license set out in this notice, we may bring legal proceedings against you, seeking monetary damages and/or an injunction to stop you using those materials.
